Even if you managed to jump the hurdles already described, and managed to extract DNA from a blood meal in an amber-preserved insect, only tiny amounts of the entire DNA string, or genome, could be recovered. Most probably, it would also be contaminated with insect DNA and bacterial DNA, and sorting one out from the other would be extremely complex.
When extracting DNA, protective clothing must be worn at all times to provent your DNA contaminating that of the sample's.
